Lifelong learning

 

Nowadays, lifelong learning is seen as one of the significant instruments to achieve the European Union's main objectives of creating a united Europe with a high and sustainable standard of living, a high employment of an advanced workforce, an inclusive, cohesive society of active citizens who can fulfil themselves.

Lifelong learning is a continuous process of acquiring and developing knowledge, skills and abilities throughout a person's life. In addition to formal education, which mainly takes place in schools and through which education levels can be achieved, non-formal and informal learning are equally important.
