E-mail (Asynchronous communication)

E-mail (abbreviated version of electronic mail) refers to a method of distributing messages using electronic communication tools. The interesting thing is that this type of communication is older than the Internet itself.

The first electronic message was sent in 1965 - but then it was a matter of distributing messages between different users of the same computer. Networked computers began to exchange mail in 1972. E-mail saw mass expansion in 1996, when the Hotmail.com service was launched.
