Email address
Just as it is the case with classic "paper" mail, also in the case of e-mail, the basis of success is the unique identifier of the addressee.
An email address is used for this, which consists of three key elements:
- the local part of the address,
- the @ sign,
- Internet domains belonging to the given mail server.
So the e-mail address looks like this: [email protected]
The local part of the address is mostly the username. The @ character then has only a delimiter function so that the mail server can identify the individual user to whom the e-mail is addressed.
